Founded in 2025 by Levin locals Ed & Jessie - Levin Boarding Cattery aims to bring a high quality, boutique cattery experience to the local community. Co-owner and ex-zookeeper Jessie runs the cattery with the help of her partner Ed, who is a high school teacher and musician in the region.

Levin Boarding Cattery was founded by Jessie and Ed after selling their previous business with the aim to build the best cattery in town. You can rest assured that your cat will be pampered in temperate-controlled luxury, enjoying only high quality and trusted brands and amenities. Rooms are constructed with sound-resistant walls, painted with Natural Paint Co. products, and use high quality low VOC vinyl flooring ensuring your cat’s safety and comfort.

All of our bays include Kat Attack cat scratchers produced by New Zealand’s premiere cat scratcher supplier- Comfy Pet. Your cat will enjoy a facility meant to mimic the comfort of your own home - no plywood walls here, your cat will feel like it has their own room in a house.

Our cattery is not a communal cattery. We believe in following a strict code of animal welfare - your cat is at the highest risk of getting sick in a communal environment, which is why your cat will stay only in their own room with cats from the same household. An air filtering heat pump runs 24/7 in order to keep the air in the facility as clean and comfortable as possible.

Oh, did you know that pine can be toxic to cats? Unlike many other catteries, we do not use pine litter as pine can cause irritation to cats. We use the World’s Best Cat Litter to ensure the best litterbox experience possible for your cat, free from harmful cheap litters.

We follow MPI guidelines for operating animal boarding facilities, meeting or exceeding all standards.

Our cattery is also protected by a system of CCTV AI-powered security cameras, with someone on-site day and night.
